Crystal Anniversary

As we've been away for 3 days this weekend, I lost out on my normal crafting day this Saturday and thought I'd struggle to catch up on a lot of the challenges I wanted to play in, however it one of those fortunate coincidences that sometimes occur in crafting, I can combine some of the challenges I play in.

Firstly this week's Less is More challenge is looking for something shiny http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/week-72-theme.html and CASual Friday are looking for cards with acetate or vellum  http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/cfc57.html   Well, one of the reasons for the party we travelled to this weekend was our friends 15th Wedding Anniversary - which is Crystal - well that's shiny and the card I made them featured a glitter embossed vellum flower with a crystal centre.  I also thought I could add a 3rd and final challenge - this week the Paper Players are celebrating their 100th challenge by asking you to look back and select any of their former challenges

The flower is made up of two different sized floral stamps by stamps by Chloe and a matching leaf sprig - all glitter embossed on vellum and fussy cut.  I dry embossed a strip of white card with a spellbinders folder and adhered it to a strip of white glitter card.  The sentiment is by Waltzingmouse and stamped in silver with the addition of some tiny gems for extra shine and sparkle.
