I know lots of people don't like working with black base cards but I do it quite a lot as I really like the effect it gives so unlike some people I was quite pleased to see the challenge at CASual Fridays this week - http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/cfc62.html
I stamped and embossed one of the camera images and a roll of film from the There She Goes "Oh Snap" stamp set directly onto my square black base card. I embossed one of the sentiments onto red and cut out an embossed map pin from the same set to make it look like it was pinning it to the card. I like the little hint of red against the black and white.
Great challenge ladies - thanks so much.
Great card Tara and the white images against the back is stunning

ReplyDeleteI love the pop of the red, it makes the white images stand out even more.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card Tara!! Love the splash of red and the tiny pin tack holding it in place. I think you've rocked this challenge.
ReplyDeleteI have that set and it has yet to see ink - but it's such fun!
I love the stamps you used on this card and the red really pop the sentiments out from no where. Beautiful.

ReplyDeletethis is so adorable.. I really like your pop of color :) hugs
ReplyDeleteOh, that's just wonderful!! I love the stamps, the pop of red, and the pin is just the perfect final touch! Although I usually make OWH cards for children, which tend to use more primary colors, I agree with you about a black base and enjoy making black and white cards for adults.
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat the look of white embossing on black...love how you've placed the cameras and films, very striking design :0)
