Sad cat

I've done a couple of entries to Crissy Armstrong's DT call featuring her dog images, and being a cat owner, I thought it was about time I redressed the imbalance with a cat image.  I thought this image with the big sad eyes would make a perfect belated birthday card, which is always a useful thing to have in your stash for the inevitable birthday you just miss.

I coloured the image with pencils and blending solution to create the under-fur, but then added some texture with the same coloured pencils on top to give more realism to the fur.  Who could stay mad at that face - even with the broken pot!  I matted and layered onto plain and patterned DP using a nestie, and then added a simple sentiment onto a matching mat over some paw print ribbon.  I see some ladies have entered lots and lots of entries to the DT call already - I don't think I'll have chance to catch up now....

I do have a few more cards up my sleeve though so watch this space :-)
