For this week's challenge the leaders of LIM have come up with a couple of sketches in their inimitable clean and simple style of course. I decided to go for the square option rather than the circle and the squares took my thoughts to Mondrian so today I'm CASEing a world famous artist - get me ;-)
I started with a 6cm square of white cardstock, drew some pencil lines to get the shapes I wanted and then went over them in different thicknesses with my momento marker and coloured some of the squares in blue, red, yellow and black - Mondrian's standard palette. To add my twist, I covered the whole square with WOW Neutral Shimmer Embossing Powder - I love this powder - it makes thinks look like they are covered with frosted glass. Mounted onto a black square of card and finished with a matching graphical sentiment also in black (from a sadly retired Elzybells set)
I'm waiting for the postman to arrive with some new stash - how come when he only brings bills he's here at 10 am but when I actually WANT the stuff he doesn't come until late afternoon :-(
What a great card. A xx
