I found the one layer Wednesday inspiration photo last week a little difficult so I skipped it, but this weeks challenge to overlap without masking was intriguing and I managed to make something at the first attempt that I was really pleased with.
I started with a kraft card base and stamped a chrysanthemum from Waltzingmouse stamps in versamagic wheat in the bottom left corner. I then stamped one of the new sentiments again from Waltzingmouse from the "say it loud" set in brilliance pearlescent chocolate. I did decide to add a tiny pearl to the centre of the flower - hope this doesn't stop it being a one layer card....
I will upload this to my gallery on the waltzingmouse forum - they pick one card each week to be the "big cheese" - have a look here if you want to find out more about it and join in.

WONDERFUL! I love that you used kraft instead of white for your background! TFS!
ReplyDeleteThis is really good. I have yet to try a one-layer card, but you make it look so tempting! Love the addition of the pearl, and the way you stamped the sentiment into the flower looks great. CoB
ReplyDeleteLooks great, love the craft coloured card and the little pearl sets it off quite nicely,
