Less is More Week 8 - sketch

I've not been very creative this week, and not through want of trying.  As you might have seen from my earlier post, next Saturday, I am going live with my own monthly card making challenge, all in aid of my local hospice, and I think I've been creatively blocked whilst trying to come up with my card for the first challenge.  If you haven't already had a look at the challenge site - do go along today and check it out - follow us  now so you get the details of first challenge when it goes live in the early hours of 2nd April....  You'll find the site here - http://stlukescharitycardschallenge.blogspot.com/2011/03/new-monthly-challenges-starting-2nd.html

As I TOTALLY addicted to LIM (in fact I chose my design team exclusively from regular participants of this challenge) I knew I'd want to play and I was thrilled when I saw this mornings sketch as I knew exactly what I wanted to make - puff - the pressure just burst like a cloud of smoke, the fog lifted and I found my mojo again - just hope it sticks around for the rest of the day.......

This is where you'll find the sketch and the lovely inspiration cards from Chrissie and Mandi which are stunning as always - http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/2011/03/week-8-sketch.html

I used a white DL card as a base, and added an off white sheer ribbon which I ripple-folded.  On top of that I added a double-punched strip of light blue card with my EK Success Acanthus leaf punch, and added a blue-velvet ribbon down the middle of it.  I then stamped a dandelion circle, again this is and Elzybels set so no longer available but I love it - you get both the positive and negative, so I used the same ink (VersaMagic Night Sky) to stamp a few little seeds floating off the edge of the card.  I added a little glamour dust to the dandelion and the floating bits, popped it on a couple of nested circles then added a matching sentiment.

Happy Crafting everyone...
