A quick post with something a bit different from me tonight. This week over at the Craft Barn Wishing Well, someone wanted to know how to make rosette flowers, and their lovely DT obliged with some very easy to follow tutorials and then challenged us to make our own.
It's not something I've ever considered making before but it looked very easy so I thought I'd give it a go, and do you know what, its was very simple but effective. In fact, I liked it so much I made 2! The first one is just a strip of paper, scored on my scoreboard and folded as per the tutorial. I added a couple of buttons and some stickles for decoration.
The second one is made in the same way, but before scoring and folding, I cut the paper in my MS lace border punch so it gave the rosette a very open floral feel. I think the two together make quite a cool card ;-)
To see the challenge - and the tutorial that shows you how to make all the different varieties (the metal one is cool!) check out this link http://thecraftbarnblog.blogspot.com/2011/03/wish-granted-concertina-challenge.html
Night, night all.
