I've not played along in Flashback Friday for a while so as I'm sitting here working through over 500 blogposts I needed to catch up on in my reader, I thought I'd post a quick flashback to my first ever card featuring butterflies.
I created this card in February last year (took me a while to get into butterflies it seems) and the original can be found here http://craftilicious-yorkshire.blogspot.co.uk/2011/02/bellarific-friday-again.html
If you want to play along, all you have to do is find your first butterfly card, post a new post with the old card and link it up here http://flashbackfridaychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/flashback-friday-230.html

Black and White Flashback Friday
I really like playing along with Flashback Friday - its fun to search back and find the "first" of certain cards or projects you've made and see how far you've come. The latest challenge is to show off your first black and white card. http://flashbackfridaychallenge.blogspot.com/2012/02/flashback-friday-200-celebration.html
Here's mine from October 2010:
A black pearl DL simply finished with some gorgeous ribbon (reminds me I have a BIG roll of that so should use it more as I love it!!) to which I added a few black pearl accents. I matched these by creating a line of white liquid pearl drops on the opposite edge of the card. A simple "thinking of you" die cut sentiment finished the card. For once, my "first" isn't so awful, and I could see me actually reusing this design now! What does stand out though is how RUBBISH my photography was back then!!!
This is the 20th Flashback Friday challenge and in celebration Amy who runs the challenge all on her ownsome (with a guest designer for each challenge) has decided to very generously offer a prize package of 20 items to match the 20th challenge ($95 worth!!!) How generous is that?!?!?! All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is hop along with Amy and the past GD's and link up your own first B&W card. So go get a coffee, enjoy the hop and dig out your B&W creations and all this goodness could be yours....
....darn I shouldn't have told you that, now you might win it and not me! Good job I'm a generous soul....

CAS Flashback Friday
At flashback Friday this week they want us to refeature our first clean and simple card - for me that was an easy find - it's the first LIM challenge I played in last year. It was the first one layer week and it had to feature flowers - here's my card:
It was done my masking and stamping with two inks onto a DL card using my beloved Elzybels stamps - still miss that store!
And here's a link to the original post from last February http://craftilicious-yorkshire.blogspot.com/2011/02/simply-less-is-more.html

Flashback Friday Banner
At Flashback Friday today they want us to back and find the first ever banner we made - well for me, that was easy as I didn't have to go back to far! I made my first on in January this year for my friend's housewarming party and here it is in situ:
I cut the banners themselves from a K&Co 6x6 pad just with a gillotine and cut the letters forming the word "Welcome" with my Cricut and added a little distress ink to keep with the vintage feel of the papers.
I made her this housewarming gift to go with it - I bought the frame and decorated it with stamping, inking and some paper flowers.
Details of the flashback Friday challenge can be found here - and its a fun way to blog if you're short on new projects to share http://flashbackfridaychallenge.blogspot.com/2011/11/flashback-friday-170.html
I might even get a bit of time to make something new tonight so catch you later.
