Happy Birthday Less is More!

My favourite weekly challenge is one today - 52 fabulous challenges have been and gone and I entered 51 (it would have been 52, but I didn't actually find the challenge until week 2....)   I REALLY can't remember what I did on Saturday mornings before I found the site, it probably involved household chores but they are so dull and the challenge is a much more pleasant way to start my weekend!!!  Through the site I've not only improved my card making skills thanks to the tips from Chrissie and Mandi and all the lovely LIMettes, but I've made a heap of blogging buddies and even sourced the Design Team for my own charity card making challenge blog.  What a difference a year makes ;-)  Thanks ladies, and long may it continue.....

So for this weeks' challenge we have colour, and for me it's a goodie as I LURVE all shades of aqua my wardrobe is full of little else but black teal and aqua.  So I can see me coming back later with lots of cards as I have tonnes of aqua everything in my craft room, but I wanted to use this new set of stamps first as I bought them with my fellow LIMettes in mind:

The keep calm motto from WW2 has seen a massive renaissance in the UK over recent years - currently the best seller in my husbands comic and sci-fi book shop is a Dr Who version - "keep calm and call the Dr" in poster form which they have to keep getting reprinted!  So when I saw this set of stamps from Personal Impressions I had to buy them instantly - there are lots of options so you'll be seeing it again for sure, but I thought this version was perfect for those of us that see the weekly challenge (particularly where acetate is involved lol!) and go "oh no, what am I going to do this week???"   I'm going to keep this little mini card on my desk to remind me I can do it - White on White was my first big challenge and I hated the idea of it, but loved it in reality, and that is one of the major reasons I keep coming back week after week, as the challenges really stretch me and make me a better crafter.

Right I have a few cards to make for birthdays this week, but like Arnie, I will be back....
