After seeing Kirsty Allsops series before Christmas on TV, I like many other crafters (as the amount of the kits selling out indicates), fell for needle felting. Therefore my wonderful husband organised my family into purchasing everything a girl needs to get started in such a craft (I know, I know, like I need ANOTHER craft to play with lol!) I haven't really had much time to play with it properly, and did break a needle on my very first attempt (that'll teach me to not read the instructions....) But, I did manage to make a lovely little plump and pretty pink heart - and naturally I've stuck it on a card:
The heart is actually a petal from a rose made using a very clever clover felting mold and it took about 10 seconds - litterally - needle felting is soooo speedy :-) Simply stuck on a Valentines background stamp - I think its my fave V-day card ever. One day I may actually even make a rose ;-)
Over at Annabelle stamps this week, they want us to say it with hearts so I am entering it into their challenge.

Wow - gorgeous heart - and super to stick it on a card!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the index card idea for cataloguing stamps - it seems much more flexible to me, sort of the best of both worlds. Plus, you can whip the index card out and keep it with the card details as you make the card rather than end up with a little pile of stamps waiting to be put back to bed - that's my theory anyhow :) Di xx
