Casing Christmas

I have been busy making Christmas cards with Waltzingmouse stamps this weekend - I have decided to join in their Christmas card challenge, which started in January.........   I've never been good at taking my time, I like to do everything at the last minute!   Despite it being a monthly challenge as long as you upload all your cards by December you can still join in, so I have 11 challenges to catch up on so far.....

I started with the challenge for February which is a quick pick challenge - which means you use something on your desk you haven't put away.   I decided to use this weeks case study challenge as my starting point, and my quick pick items were the bauble stamps and the decorative paper (in fairness I could have picked anything as my desk has a lot of stuff waiting to be put away!!!)

Here's the case study card

and here's my interpretation of it

I cut the gold background with a MS punch added the DP (festive treats from first edition paper) and added a gold strip over the top.  I embossed Noel from the Say it Loud Holiday edition set in gold on to the DP and then heat embosssed the two baubles on gold pearl shimmer paper and cut with the matching nesties.

You can expect to see a lot more WM Christmas goodies in the next few days while I play catch up on the challenge!
