There is another new blog on the block today - CASe this sketch http://casethissketch.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/case-this-sketch-challenge-1.html and this is the first sketch they would like us to case in a CAS way:
I used the delightful new butterfly stamp set from clearly besotted and the colours at this weeks color throwdown and in under 5 minutes this is what I came up with. Has to be one of the quickest cards I've ever made. 3 tiny green gems and a simple thank you sentiment (pti) in black was all that was needed to finish it off.

Cupcake Theif
It was our monthly book group meeting last night but this time it was a bit of a special one as one of our group turns 40 this weekend. Now there is always cake at a birthday party I know, but for this particular friend it's not just a nicety it's a necessity - she always claims she has a "second stomach" specially designed for cake so will always say yes to dessert even if she was stuffed after mains. So there was an obvious image for her card - the fabby cupcake theif from Mo Manning
I decided to restrict my colouring of her (except for hair and skin) to the lovely colours at this week's Color Throwdown challenge - teals, purples and vanilla. http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/color-throwdown-202.html I carried on the colours to the background with some DCWV background papers, a EK sucess border punch with the cherries replaced by purple gems and a Forty cut on my silhouette in two shades using the very nifty "offset" feature which is just brilliant!
I'm also going to enter it into this weeks challenge at Mo's Digital Challenge which is to use an image of a dog or of someone "in the doghouse" well she'd be in the doghouse for sure if she tried to pinch my friends birthday cupcakes!!!! - http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/challenge-145-final-gdt-call.html
As it was made for a friend, I'm also going to enter it into this weeks Do You Stack Up challenge which is "for a friend" http://doyoustackup.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/dysu-82-for-friend.html

Get your geek on!!!
I needed to make a card for teenage boy this week and they are always quite tricky but then I saw this kenny k image and thought it was quite glee (boy in question is at theatre school) so I went with it. I decided to push my comfort zone further by using a colour challenge to set the colour theme and this weeks's Colour Throwdown gave me some lovely bright colours http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/color-throwdown-186.html
I'm also entering it into this weeks Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge which is April Fool - an image which makes you smile and this one certainly does! http://kennykkraftygirlzchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/april-fool.html
I coloured the image with copics, layered onto dp to match the colours from the challenge then made a greeting in word and created a triple layer ribbon from it. Finished simply with a brad and a few stars cut with a MFT dynamics die. The final touch was some glaze on the glasses and some glitter on the mirror ball...
